Feb Level 1 Series: Foundations of Lindy Hop

The KSDA focuses on the swing dance style born out of Black Harlem in the 1930’s, Lindy Hop. If you’ve been to a level 0 drop in, you’ve done Lindy Hop!

Build off the skills covered in the Level 0 drop ins to expand your repertoire and become comfortable with many types of swing dancing movements. These longer classes build off of each week’s material and will start with basic patterns like circles (both 6 and 8 counts) before building up to swing outs.

Follow the event for updates.

Series classes meet every Wednesday downstairs at the Laurel Theater from 7-8:15 pm. Classes are $5 a night and include admission to the dance. 4 classes can be purchased at the beginning of the month by KSDA benefit cardholders and local students for only $15.

Join us in March for the Level 1 Movements of Lindy Hop Series and Level 2 Swing Out Variations Drop Ins!
